Sofu Teshigahara by Andy Warhol, 1976
Ikebana goes beyond traditional flower arrangements offering an incredible artistry and a vast field for creativity. The expressive genius of the legendary Ikebana artist and founder of Sogetsu school, Sofu Teshigahara and his son Hiroshi, both well known for their sculptural works, filmmaking and curatorial initiatives with established Western artists continue to serve an immense source of inspiration. Following their footsteps, IKEBANA projects bring forward diverse ikebana practices through collaborations with artists, architects and designers. We aim to celebrate the beauty and decay of the natural world, the ancient teaching and its contemporary reiterations through art residencies, exhibitions, events, limited editions and other forms of artistic expression.
